The general purpose of the Dade County Medical Association's continuing medical education program is to assist the association in its mission to promote the public health, ensure high standards in medical education and ethics, and enhance the quality and availability of health care in Florida. The specific goals of the program are:
- To enable unaccredited organizations in Florida to offer CME activities as determined by their internal needs assessment process through joint sponsorship.
- To provide the CME courses mandated by the Florida legislature and the Florida Board of Medicine.
- To provide a variety of educational activities that relate to the general practice of medicine such as emergency preparedness, public health, medical advocacy, medical ethics, legal and ethical responsibilities, and other clinical topics of interest to groups of physicians within the DCMA structure.
In order to have your joint sponsorship approved by the DCMA it is imperative that you complete all information requested and provide copies of all required documentation and payment to the DCMA.
