April 28, 2014 House Bill 7113

April 25, 2014 

Dear Physicians – Unfortunately the Florida House of Representatives just voted to pass HB 7113 by a vote of 74 yes to 42 no.   This is the massive health care bill that among other things, ensures three disputed trauma centers remain open, gives long-sought powers to nurse practitioners, expands the use of telemedicine, allows pharmacists to supervise additional technicians and strips the Miami-Dade County Commission of power to approve labor contracts at the massive Jackson Health System.
